Northern/ Eastern Province Sri Lanka
Northern part of sri lanka have beautiful attractive places . specially filled with beaches, small islands and tamil culture etc…… but due to the civil war northern side isolated from rest of the country.but after in 2009 when war ended some of the places are open to everyone and even tourists . but now in 2015 newly elected government announce the whole northern part is open for tourists.
Jaffna, Point pedro,Vauniya and ,Mannar are 4 main cities in northern side. Yet its has own unique and complex identity shaped in true Sri Lankan fashion, by a wide cross-section of influences, including Muslim, Portuguese, Dutch, British and Sinhalese, with colourful temples set next to huge churches, and streets dotted with ancient Dutch and British residences.
Eastern province
Eastern province also had minor war attacks. but even before 2009 local people are traveling to eastern part because it have amazing, outstanding ,elegant places to visit . it has three broad categories namely natural attractions, socio – cultural attractions and man -made attraction. the most striking attraction of the province long wide sandy beaches with bluish warm waters .the main two cities are Trincomalee and Batticalo ,both cities have amazing beaches and have good swimming conditions with added attractions of the opportunities they offer for whale watching and diving .
